The Game
The game of Roulette is played with a wheel containing 37 numbered slots,
a ball and a betting layout. The object of the game is for the player
to place bets on the betting layout in an attempt to find the correct
winning number for the next spin of the wheel. The player may place as
many or as few bets as they wish, so long as these bets conform to the
table minimums and maximums.
To Play the Game
To play the game the player must first select a value of chip that they
wish to place on the layout. This is achieved by selecting a chip from
their chip selector on the left hand side of the screen. They can then
move their cursor around the betting layout and "left-clicking"
when they wish to place a chip. To remove a chip from the betting layout,
PC users may "right-click" on a chip to remove it from play.
Mac users should click whilst holding the apple key to perform this task.
Once the player has finished placing their bets they then have to click
the Spin button to initiate the spin.
Note. Once the spin has been initiated no more bets may be placed on the
table. When the ball comes to rest in one of the numbered slots that number
is deemed the winning number. All losing bets are cleared from the table
and winning bets are paid according to the table below.
Straight up (Covering one number) 35:1
Split (Covering two numbers) 17:1
Street (Covering three numbers) 11:1
Corner (Covering four numbers 8:1
Six-Line (Covering six numbers) 5:1
Dozen Bet (Covering twelve numbers) 2:1
Column Bet (Covering twelve numbers) 2:1
High / Low, Red / Black, Odd / Even 1:1
Note. When zero is the winning number all even money bets lose half.
Minimums and Maximums
The minimums and maximums are clearly shown when you select a table. The
minimum is defined as the lowest amount a player may place on a number.
The maximum is defined as the maximum a player may place on a single number.
For example, if a table is described as having a minimum of £5 and
a maximum of £100 then the player may place the following bets.
They may place from £5 to £100 on each single number. They
may also place from £5 to £200 on each split. From £5
to £300 on each street. £5 to £400 on each corner and
£5 to £600 on each six-line.
Note. There are higher minimums and maximums available for the dozen /
column and even money bets.
Player Options and Terminology
During the game the player may choose to take advantage of several additional
betting options that have been made available.
Neighbour Bets
The player may choose to place neighbour bets. A neighbour bet consists
of 5 chips with one chip placed on the number selected and one chip placed
on each of the two numbers either side on the wheel. For example a neighbour
bet placed on zero would place one chip on each of the following numbers
:- 0, 3, 15, 26 and 32. To place a neighbour bet the player must access
the neighbour bets window. This is achieved by either clicking on the
"racetrack" on the betting layout or by clicking the neighbour
bets button. When the window appears the player can then choose which
numbers to place their bets on. There is no limit to the number of neighbour
bets a player can place as long as the bets stay within the table minimums
and maximums. When a player has finished placing their bets and closes
the window the dealer will automatically place their chips on the betting
layout.
Note. By placing several neighbour bets large sections of the wheel can
be easily covered.
French Bets
The player may choose to place one or more of the French Bets. These bets
each cover distinct areas of the wheel and can be used to cover large
sections of the wheel. There are three French Bets covering the following
bets on the table.
Voison Du Zero is a nine chip bet and covers the following bets:
2 chips on 0 / 2 / 3
1 chip on 4 / 7
1 chip on 12 / 15
1 chip on 18 / 21
1 chip on 19 / 22
2 chips on 25 / 26 / 28 / 29 (Corner)
1 chip on 32 / 35
Tier is a six chip bet and covers the following bets,
1 chip on 5 / 8
1 chip on 10 / 11
1 chip on 13 / 16
1 chip on 23 / 24
1 chip on 27 / 30
1 chip on 33 / 36

1 chip on 1
1 chip on 6 / 9
1 chip on 14 / 17
1 chip on 17 / 20
1 chip on 31 / 34
To place a French bet the player must access the French bet window, this
is achieved by clicking on the French bet button. When the window appears
the player has the choice to place one or more bets simply by placing
a chip in the relevant area. Once the player has finished placing their
bets and closes the window the dealer will automatically place their bets
on the betting layout.
Note. There is no limit to the number of bets a player may play so long
as all bets are within the table minimums and maximums.
